Terms & Conditions

FLIGHT TICKETS:

Airlines’ Terms: When booking flight tickets through MY TRAVEL HOST, users need to understand that these bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective airlines. These terms include policies related to cancellations and refunds. It’s important for users to be aware of these terms when making flight reservations.

Role of MY TRAVEL HOST: MY TRAVEL HOST acts as a facilitator in the flight booking process. This means that MY TRAVEL HOST enables users to book flight tickets, but the actual contract for the service is always between the user and the airline. Users should be mindful that any issues or disputes related to the flight service should be addressed directly with the airline.

Flight Changes: Airlines retain the right to make changes to flight schedules, routes, or even to cancel flights or itineraries without prior notification to MY TRAVEL HOST. These changes can occur independently of MY TRAVEL HOST’s control or authority. Users should understand that MY TRAVEL HOST is not liable for any losses, whether direct or incidental, that users may experience due to such changes or cancellations.

Baggage Allowance: The baggage allowance associated with a specific fare is determined by the airline. MY TRAVEL HOST has no influence over these baggage policies. It’s important to note that some fares may be categorized as “hand baggage fares,” meaning they do not include free check-in baggage. In such cases, users will be required to pay separately for check-in baggage, and the prices for this service may vary from one airline to another. For detailed information on baggage costs, users are advised to contact the airline directly.

Code Share: Some airlines have “code share” agreements with other carriers. This means that for certain routes, the airline selling the flight ticket may not operate its own aircraft to the destination. Instead, they partner with another airline to provide the service. This information will be disclosed during the booking process and before payment. MY TRAVEL HOST will convey any such code-share arrangements to users only when the ticketing airline discloses this information to MY TRAVEL HOST.

Pricing: The total price displayed on the MY TRAVEL HOST website’s payment page typically includes the base fare, government taxes, and a convenience fee. Users are required to pay the full amount before their booking is confirmed. If the entire amount is not paid, MY TRAVEL HOST reserves the right to cancel the booking. Users also agree to pay any applicable statutory taxes, surcharges, and fees that are in effect on the date of travel.

Infant Fares: To be eligible for infant fares, a child’s age must be under 24 months for the entire itinerary, including both the outbound and return journeys. If the infant will be 24 months or older on the return journey, a separate booking using a child fare is required. It’s essential to note that any infants or children must be accompanied by an adult in compliance with the terms and policies of the airlines.

Travel Documents: It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure that they possess valid travel documents, such as identity proof, passport, visa (including transit visa), and any other necessary documentation required for travel. Users should understand that if they are unable to travel due to not having the appropriate travel documents, MY TRAVEL HOST will not be held liable. Any information provided by MY TRAVEL HOST regarding travel documents is advisory in nature and should not be considered conclusive. Users should verify the travel requirements with the respective airlines and jurisdictions they may transit through or visit.

Check-In Terms: Users should verify check-in timings directly with the airlines. Typically, check-in for domestic flights usually begins two hours before departure, while for international flights, it usually begins three hours before departure. Users should also ensure they carry valid identification proofs, passports, and any other age proofs that may be required to verify the identity, nationality, and age of passengers, including infants.

Use of Flight Segments: If a user does not embark on the outward journey, the entire PNR (Passenger Name Record) pertaining to that booking will be automatically canceled by the airline. In such cases, MY TRAVEL HOST has no control over this process and is not obligated to provide alternate bookings to the user. The cancellation penalty, in this event, will be as per the applicable airline rules.

Changes to Existing Booking: Any changes made to an existing booking will be subject to charges imposed by the respective airline, in addition to the service fee charged by MY TRAVEL HOST. The user will be obligated to pay these charges. However, the specific charges for alterations or modifications to existing bookings may vary depending on the airline’s policy and fare class.

Refund: Refunds for flight ticket cancellations are processed in accordance with the airline’s fare rules and cancellation policy. The availability of refunds is subject to MY TRAVEL HOST receiving the refund amount from the airlines. It’s important to note that the convenience fee paid to MY TRAVEL HOST at the time of booking is non-refundable. Additionally, cancellations made directly with the airline must be communicated to MY TRAVEL HOST to initiate the refund process. The processing time for refunds may vary based on factors such as the payment method and the bank. The refunded amount will be credited to the same account from which the payment was made. For instance, if the user used a credit card, MY TRAVEL HOST will initiate a charge reversal to the same credit card. Similarly, if a debit card was used, the refunded amount will be credited to the same debit card. In cases where tickets are partially utilized and a refund is requested, any upfront discounts or promo code discounts availed at the time of booking will be deducted from the refund amount.

CHARTER:

Charter Terms: The charter facility offered through MY TRAVEL HOST encompasses the booking or hiring of an entire jet, aircraft, or helicopter, as made available by the Charter Company. These bookings are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the respective Charter Company, including policies related to cancellations and refunds. Users should pay attention to these terms when booking charter services.

Role of MY TRAVEL HOST: MY TRAVEL HOST serves as a facilitator to enable users to book charters, and the contractual service relationship always exists between the user and the Charter Company. Users should be aware that any issues or disputes related to charter services should be addressed directly with the Charter Company.

Charter Changes: The Charter Company retains the right to cancel or reschedule charters for reasons such as bad weather conditions, lockdowns, operational requirements, or unforeseen technical or mechanical problems. In the event of rescheduling, the availability of an alternate charter is subject to the Charter Company’s discretion, and MY TRAVEL HOST has no control over this process. Users will be required to pay any fare differences based on the fare rates at the time of rescheduling the charter flight.

Facilities Onboard: As with flight tickets, the terms governing carry-on luggage, baggage allowance, boarding and lodging facilities, the number of passengers, and food service on charter flights are determined by the Charter Company. MY TRAVEL HOST’s role is to facilitate communication between users and the Charter Company regarding specific requests. However, the fulfillment of these requests remains the sole prerogative of the Charter Company.

Changes in Existing Booking: Just like with flight tickets, any changes or alterations to existing charter bookings will be subject to charges levied by the Charter Company. Users will be obligated to pay these charges in the event of changes or modifications to existing bookings. The specific charges may vary depending on the Charter Company’s policies and fare class.

Travel Documents: Users should understand that the Charter Company typically requires passenger information such as names, nationalities, passport numbers, dates of issue and expiry, and potentially medical reports well in advance. This information is needed to obtain necessary security clearances and to facilitate travel. Failure to travel due to the lack of valid travel documents or a refusal to board is the sole responsibility of the user, and MY TRAVEL HOST will not be held liable for such circumstances.

Refund: Similar to flight ticket refunds, refunds for charter services will be processed based on the Charter Company’s fare rules and cancellation policy. It’s essential to note that the convenience fee paid to MY TRAVEL HOST at the time of booking is non-refundable. The refunded amount will be credited to the same account from which the payment was made, whether it’s a credit card or debit card. In the event of cancellations and refunds for partially utilized charter tickets, any upfront discounts or promo code discounts that were applied at the time of booking will be deducted from the refund amount.

HOTELS:

Role of MY TRAVEL HOST: When it comes to hotel bookings, MY TRAVEL HOST operates as a facilitator that provides an online platform for users to select and book specific hotels. This category includes various types of accommodations, such as hotels, home-stays, bed and breakfast stays, farmhouses, and other alternate lodging options.

Information from the Hotel and Hotel Terms: The information displayed on the MY TRAVEL HOST website related to hotels, including the hotel’s category, images, room types, amenities, and facilities, is based on the information provided by the hotel to MY TRAVEL HOST. This information is for reference purposes only. If any discrepancies exist between the website’s pictures and the actual conditions at the hotel, users should address these concerns directly with the hotel. The resolution of such discrepancies is the responsibility of the user and the hotel, with MY TRAVEL HOST taking no liability in this process.

Hotel Booking Voucher: The hotel booking voucher issued by MY TRAVEL HOST is created based on the information provided by the hotel regarding the availability of rooms. In no circumstances can MY TRAVEL HOST be held liable for any failure on the part of a hotel to accommodate a user with a confirmed booking, or for any issues related to the quality of service or other service-related concerns at the hotel. In the event of a hotel denying check-in for any reason, such as over-booking, system errors, technical issues, or unavailability of rooms, MY TRAVEL HOST’s liability will be limited to either providing similar alternate accommodation (subject to availability at that time) at the discretion of MY TRAVEL HOST or refunding the booking amount (to the extent paid) to the user. Any other service-related issues should be directly resolved between the user and the hotel.

Admission by Hotels: Hotels have the sole right of admission, and MY TRAVEL HOST does not have any say in the admission or denial of admission by hotels. It’s important to note that some hotels may not allow unmarried or unrelated couples to check in, as per their policies. Similarly, accommodation may be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented during check-in. Additionally, some hotels may have policies that do not permit local residents to check in as guests. MY TRAVEL HOST will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to these reasons or any other reasons beyond the control of MY TRAVEL HOST. In such cases, no refund will be applicable.

Hotel Bookings:

Responsibilities of the User:

Damage Liability: Users are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their accompanying guests to the hotel’s property, whether it’s due to willful or negligent actions. The extent and amount of damages will be determined by the concerned hotel. MY TRAVEL HOST will not intervene in this matter.

Primary Guest Age: The primary guest making the booking must be at least 18 years old to check into the hotel.

Identification Requirements: Users must possess valid identity proof and address proof at the time of check-in. Failure to present valid identification may result in the hotel denying check-in.

Check-In and Check-Out: Users must adhere to the check-in and check-out times as per the hotel’s policy. Any requests for early check-in or late check-out are subject to availability, and the hotel may charge an additional fee for these services.

Additional Charges by the Hotel:

Inclusions: The booking amount paid by the User covers the stay at the hotel. Some bookings may include breakfast and/or meals, as confirmed at the time of booking.

Additional Services: Any other services used by the User at the hotel, such as laundry, room service, internet, telephone, extra food, drinks, and beverages, should be paid by the User directly to the hotel.

Mandatory Meal Surcharges: Hotels may impose mandatory meal surcharges during festive periods like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or other festivals, as determined by the hotel. These additional charges, including mandatory meal surcharges, need to be settled directly with the hotel. MY TRAVEL HOST does not have control over waiving these charges.

Payment for Bookings and Any Additional Payments:

Prepaid Model: Hotel bookings can be either “Prepaid” or “Pay at hotel,” depending on the options offered by the hotel on the MY TRAVEL HOST website. In the “Prepaid” model, the total booking amount, which includes the hotel reservation rate, taxes, service fees, and any additional booking or convenience fees charged by MY TRAVEL HOST, is paid by the User at the time of booking.

Part Payments: In some cases, the User may be allowed to make a part payment to MY TRAVEL HOST at the time of booking confirmation, with the balance to be paid as per the booking terms. Correct credit or debit card details must be provided for security, and MY TRAVEL HOST reserves the right to cancel bookings if incorrect payment details are provided.

Currency: Payments can be made in INR or any other foreign exchange/currency specified at the time of booking. Users are advised to contact their bank or card issuer if they have questions about transaction fees or exchange rates.

Deposit: Some accommodation providers may require a credit card or cash deposit from the User or the persons on behalf of whom the booking is made to cover additional expenses that may arise during their stay. This deposit is unrelated to any payment received by MY TRAVEL HOST and is solely at the discretion of the hotel.

Role of My Travel Host in Train Ticket Bookings:

Facilitator for Booking Train Tickets: My Travel Host primarily serves as a facilitator for booking train tickets. It provides a platform that allows intending travelers to search for the desired train tickets. However, the actual booking and issuance of train tickets are done through the Indian Railways booking system, specifically IRCTC.

If there are issues or problems related to these aspects, the liability for addressing them rests with Indian Railways, not My Travel Host.

Changes and Downtime: My Travel Host explicitly states that changes in boarding points and passenger names are not supported by their website. Additionally, the website’s train functionality may not be available during specific hours due to system downtime or reasons beyond their control. Users are advised to check Indian Railways’ official websites for comprehensive information and queries regarding their bookings.

Responsibilities of Users for Train Bookings:

IRCTC Credentials: When booking e-tickets through My Travel Host, customers will be automatically redirected to the IRCTC website/app to input their IRCTC login credentials. Users are required to remember their IRCTC username and password to complete the booking process.

Valid ID Proofs: Passengers must carry valid ID proofs at the time of travel or boarding the train. This is a standard requirement to verify the identity of passengers.

Seat/ Berth Allotment: My Travel Host emphasizes that seat and berth allotment for e-tickets is done by Indian Railways based on their allocation logic. Users are not guaranteed their preferred seat or berth. The allocation is determined by Indian Railways.

Booking Limits: Users can book a maximum of 6 seats/berths in a single booking. It’s important to adhere to this limit.

Cancellation Policy: The bookings made through My Travel Host are subject to Indian Railways’ cancellation policy and charges, which may vary depending on factors such as the cancellation time and booking quota (tatkal/general/ladies/premium, etc.).

Special Concessions: Indian Railways may offer special concessions and discounts for categories like senior citizens, female passengers, and children. The extent and application of these concessions are determined by Indian Railways, and My Travel Host has no influence over these policies.

Payments for Bookings and Cancellations:

Service Charges: My Travel Host’s service charges are non-refundable. Users should be aware of this before making a booking.

Cancellation Process: Bookings can only be canceled through the My Travel Host app or website; offline cancellations are not permitted. Users should follow the specified cancellation process.

Cancellation Charges: The cancellation of train tickets is subject to the cancellation policy and charges levied by Indian Railways. These charges may vary based on factors such as the time of cancellation and the booking quota.

Refunds: In the case of fully waitlisted e-tickets, Indian Railways automatically cancels them after chart preparation. Refunds are credited to the user’s bank account used for booking, after deducting My Travel Host’s charges.
